The Learning Academy

The Learning Academy offers activities that include homework help, fun, hands-on learning, and structured play and exploration. Children take part in learning through play and structured activities and engage with new academic material in math, science, social studies, visual arts, and literature. The program includes play and social development as part of the daily experience.

• Ages: 0–12 years old
• Schedule: Open 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with temporary hours of 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM effective February 22nd, 2021

The Learning Academy was founded in 2018. The program offers infant care, a toddler program, a preschool program, school-aged childcare programs, academic summer camps, and before and after school care. It operates as an educational childcare and daycare program that uses family-style meals and provides transportation services.

The foundation of the preschool curriculum is the Creative Curriculum®, which is a nationally recognized, state-approved program. The curriculum is research-based, follows Ohio state standards, is approved by the state, and includes 38 research-based objectives covering 10 areas of study. The program is described as a trusted diverse family-owned childcare program with qualified, caring staff and convenient hours.

Families have access to WatchMeGrow live camera feeds for live streaming and can receive real-time updates about a child’s day through the Tadpoles app. Parent involvement is supported through live streams and real-time updates via WatchMeGrow and Tadpoles.

The Learning Academy’s leadership team includes owners Hinal Patel and Aarti Patel and Director Britni McCann. Britni McCann has been in the early childhood field for over 12 years and has a CDA, a degree in nursing, and a Substitute Teacher License. Hinal Patel hopes to instill the importance of quality education to families in his central Ohio community.
