Camp JCC offers a day camp with multiple activities throughout the day, including arts and crafts, sports, cooking, and swimming. Campers can also take part in music, archery, dancing, baking, and other structured activities. Specialty camps are available for campers with specific interests.
• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Camp dates from June 1 to August 7
Camp JCC is designed for campers entering grades K–8 and also includes a Leader in Training Program for teens entering grades 9 and 10. Extended care is available, and Camp JCC is open to everyone. The program states that it strives to provide a warm and caring, child-centered atmosphere where each camper is viewed as unique, important, and special, with goals for campers to flourish by finding and maximizing their strengths, trying new activities, developing new skills, and bonding with friends in a safe and healthy atmosphere. Camp JCC was named one of the Best Summer Camps in America by Newsweek and is accredited by the American Camp Association. JCC of Youngstown is an agency of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation.
