Central YMCA Day Camp includes swimming, swim lessons, crafts, gym games, sports, board games, art, reading, and Gaga Ball. Campers also take part in education rotations and go on field trips, including regular travel to The Davis Family YMCA on Tuesdays and The Mill Creek Wick Recreation Area on Wednesdays, with additional field trips on Thursdays. Each day follows a planned schedule that includes drop-off, activity rotations, and pick-up at set times.
• Ages: 6–13 years old
• Schedule: Weekly summer sessions from June 8 through August 21, with core camp hours 9:00 AM–4:00 PM and optional extended hours 7:00–9:00 AM and 4:15–6:00 PM
• Price: A $50 deposit per camper per week is due at registration, with no deposit for TANF families; families receiving YMCA financial assistance at the Central YMCA pay only the deposit amount based on their approved award, and a $20 late fee is charged for enrollment after Friday night
Central YMCA Day Camp is limited to 80 spots and is currently full, using a waiting list managed through an enrollment packet. Weekly enrollment ends at the scheduled closing time of the YMCA branch on the Friday before each camp week, and online enrollment ends Friday night, with weekend enrollment handled in person and subject to any late fees. Before and after care for early drop-off from 7:00–9:00 AM and late pick-up from 4:15–6:00 PM is offered for a small fee, and Thursday pickup is at 4:30 PM. Central Day Camp Parent Orientation is mandatory and includes meeting the staff, learning more details about camp, and taking a tour, and updates during camp are sent via BAND. A medical care plan is required for any child who needs medication during camp hours, with forms available at the front desk and at Parent Orientation.

Central YMCA Day Camp operates under the YMCA of Youngstown’s mission “to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.” The YMCA of Youngstown holds Praesidium Accreditation, which publicly demonstrates that it has achieved the highest industry standards in abuse prevention. Community events connected to the YMCA of Youngstown include the Camp Fitch YMCA Polar Bear Plunge, The Davis Family YMCA annual golf outing, and the Central YMCA Gala, whose theme is “A Better Future Starts with You.”
