Junior Tennis Programs at Albany Tennis Club include tennis, swim, and pickleball activities for juniors. The Junior Tennis Programs at Albany Tennis Club are part of a club that offers Tennis*Swim*Pickleball, with classes and programs for beginner, intermediate, and advanced juniors, as well as programs for high school students looking to become more competitive for their school season. Weekly or bi-weekly classes during the school year focus on fundamentals, advanced techniques, and strategy, and the club also offers racquet stringing service and a pro shop. Players of all ages and abilities are welcome, and instruction is available with friendly staff.
The leadership team includes Kelly Baker, Club Manager and Head Racquet Sports Pro; Christopher Wolff, Tennis Pro; and Shelley Starkey, Pickleball Pro, along with a board that includes Louis Weinstein (President), Andrew Koll (Vice President), Kelsey Flory (Treasurer), Rich Watte (Secretary), and board members Ken Baumgartner, Tim Reid, Sue Wilson, and Michelle Nelson. In the late 1950s a small group of tennis enthusiasts began negotiations and plans to develop the Albany Tennis Club, and by 1960 the charter membership of 10 families had built two outdoor tennis courts. For over 50 years, Albany Tennis Club has been enjoyed by many families.
