Youth Swim Lessons at Albany Community Pool offers youth swim lessons based on the American Red Cross progression. The program includes Pre-School Levels 1–4 swim lessons and Levels 1–6 swim lessons. Youth lessons are one of several activities at the pool, along with lap swimming, water exercise classes, family and recreation swims, and rentals.

• Schedule: Youth lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays in 30-minute blocks between 6:00pm and 7:40pm

The youth lessons include Pre-School Levels 1–4 for ages 3, 4, and 5, and Levels 1–6 for ages 6 and up. Youth Swim Lessons at Albany Community Pool is part of a broader aquatics program that also offers Senior Fitness, Aquajogging (deep water aerobics using flotation), Shallow Water Aerobics (about 4 feet deep), Rec Swim, and Lap Swim. The pool is open year-round. Families are asked to bring their own toys and masks, with snorkels and fins approved only during household recreation and lap swim, and all lifejackets must be Coast Guard-approved. The program is part of a department whose mission is: “We promote healthy living through recreational experiences and serve as stewards of Albany's public parks and facilities.”
