About
Lil’ Beavers Soccer Academy introduces children to basic soccer skills, movement skills, goal scoring, and organized games. The program offers Baby Beavers classes as a fun introduction to the Lil’ Beavers program, where toddlers and parents explore basic soccer and movement skills together. It also includes Little Feet Beavers classes in which 3–4 year olds and 4–5 year olds take part in age-specific soccer activities.
• Ages: 1–5 years old
LIL’ BEAVERS SOCCER ACADEMY describes itself as more than just soccer alone and as a place for children to learn in a fun, supportive, and non-competitive environment with their peers, where they are accepted whatever their skill level or interest level may be. The program states that it uses child-friendly techniques, keeps its focus on the effort of the players, and offers a comprehensive soccer program that uses a child-centered approach to sports development in children. It also states that it places a heavy emphasis on child development and incorporates this emphasis into every aspect of its programs. Little Feet Beavers 3–4 years old is described as the ideal next step for Baby Beavers participants who are not yet old enough for the 4–5 year old class, and as a first soccer experience for new players who are just barely 3 years old up to age 4. Little Feet Beavers 4–5 years old is described as the first time kids are on their own in classes led by an instructor, where they play organized games together to develop listening skills, balance, ball skills, and foot-eye coordination.
