Lil’ Beavers Soccer Academy is led by Lil’ Beavers Coach Jessica and her team of assistant coaches. Kids are gathered into age-appropriate groups, and each group is guided through the camp curriculum. The camp follows CDC, OHA, and local guidelines to reduce the spread of Covid-19. Families are asked to provide lunch, a small mid-morning snack, and a bottle of water for each camper.
The program’s mission states that Lil’ Beavers Soccer Academy offers a fun, supportive, and non-competitive environment where children are accepted whatever their skill or interest level may be. The mission also states that coaches use child-friendly techniques, focus on player effort, and take a child-centered approach to sports development with a heavy emphasis on child development in every aspect of the programs.
Baby Beavers classes are described as a fun introduction to the Lil’ Beavers program, where toddlers and parents explore basic soccer and movement skills together with many different activities and goal scoring. Little Feet Beavers for ages 3–4 is described as the next step for Baby Beavers participants who are not yet old enough for the 4–5-year-old class, and as an introduction to soccer for new players from just-turned 3 up to age 4. Little Feet Beavers for ages 4–5 is described as the first time kids participate on their own in classes, led by an instructor, playing organized games together to develop listening skills, balance, ball skills, and foot-eye coordination.
