Snapology STEAM Learning Programs

Snapology STEAM Learning Programs include hands-on activities such as robotics, coding, and design challenges using LEGO bricks, K’Nex, and technology. Children build robotic models that move, make sounds, and respond to sensors while learning programming principles like loops, triggers, inputs, and outputs. Other activities include designing custom light sabers for Jedi challenges, exploring mechanical movement through simple machines and physics, and using LEGO bricks with stop-motion animation software to write, direct, and edit movies. Participants also use LEGO bricks, remotes, and sensors to build robots for different challenges, build coasters and other motorized rides, and work on group builds to create a full amusement park.

Snapology STEAM Learning Programs are offered year-round and feature technology and popular building toys, with a dedicated Snapologist teaching students as they work in pairs. The programs are described as the premier partner for STEAM programs and are based on research showing that children’s best learning experiences come from actively designing, creating, interacting, and inventing. Snapology also provides interactive STEM/STEAM learning for Girl Scout and Scouts BSA groups and offers optional Snapology patches at an additional cost for scouts who complete programs.

According to the mission statement, Snapology provides children’s enrichment with year-round STEAM learning programs that engage children from ages 4 to 14, using fun, hands-on activities to teach Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The mission statement also notes that while children are exploring robotics, coding, and design challenges using LEGO bricks, K’Nex, and technology, they are building skills that will help them throughout school and their careers, and that to kids, it feels like fun.
