About
RecTennis Youth Tennis Programs offers Tennis Afterschool Zone, Teen Tennis, Summer Camps, Adult Tennis 101, Adult Tennis 201, and Adult Red Ball. Tennis Afterschool Zone brings tennis directly to school gyms during the school year using age-appropriate, modified equipment and is designed for kids in grades K–6. Teen Tennis is designed for middle and high school students in grades 6–12 and provides all equipment, and Summer Camps are designed for ages 5–17 and include fun games, team-based activities, and movement exercises using age-appropriate equipment with players grouped by age and ability.
• Ages: 5–17 years old
• Schedule: Adult Red Ball is a 60-minute coach-facilitated session.
Adult Tennis 101 and Adult Tennis 201 are designed to introduce the fundamentals of tennis in a fun, supportive, and no-pressure environment, are led by experienced instructors, and provide all equipment. Adult Red Ball is a fun, fast-paced social tennis experience for adults of all levels, played on smaller courts and focused on fun, fitness, and community. All equipment is provided for programs, and participants are asked to bring themselves and some water. At RecTennis, the organization is committed to creating a vibrant and inclusive community through the game of tennis. Teen Tennis is offered in partnership with local schools and community centers, and United States Tennis Association Pacific Northwest (USTA PNW) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, with all proceeds reinvested into programs and scholarships to make tennis accessible for all. Scholarships are available for youth participants to support access to play.
