Central Oregon Aerial Arts is Bend’s longest-running aerial arts studio and has the largest number of aerial silks in town, with nine silks available. The studio uses padded landings, proper spotting, and progressions, and the silks are rigged safely and directly to the building's structure with regular equipment review. The program offers a small student-to-teacher ratio with individualized attention and hands-on instruction in a competition-free environment focused on creativity, movement, expression, and personal growth. Instructors are experienced professionals with over 35 years of combined experience, and the owner and lead instructor is Kendall. The studio states that no prior upper-body strength or experience is required to start, and it welcomes students ages 8 and up of all bodies, identities, and backgrounds. Central Oregon Aerial Arts offers group classes, private lessons, drop-in rates, class cards, and a merch store that is always open, with a portion of every sale going back to the studio.
The mission of Central Oregon Aerial Arts is to help students build strength, confidence, artistry, and real aerial skills in a welcoming, supportive environment. The studio notes that it offers the lowest rates in town for 90-minute classes and requests support for its GoFundMe for essential studio upgrades, with a portion of every merch sale going back to the studio.
One parent testimonial describes an experience in an aerial silks class with instructor Lauren, stating that the instructor broke skills down clearly, the student was able to catch on quickly, and the experience led the student to book the next class right away.
