The leadership team includes dance instructors Joslyn B., Greg J., McKenna J., Brett R., and Seth N. Joslyn has been professionally teaching country dance for two years. McKenna’s dance journey began over 10 years ago in Thousand Oaks, CA with country styles including line, country swing, and two step, and she has placed in multiple dance competitions including The PNW Stompeders and Dancing with the Central Oregon Stars. The instructors are described as having many years of combined experience.
Swing ‘N’ Line’s mission states that it was born out of the overwhelming love of country-western dancing in Central Oregon and focuses on wholesome, country fun. The program serves events such as date nights, weddings, and other events, and offers private lessons for date nights for two or groups of friends, as well as discounted lesson packages. It also provides services for weddings, including first dance country swing and line dance lessons for guests. Country swing is described as a partner dance that is fun and easy to start from scratch, even with a stranger, and line dancing is described as fun for the whole family and something that will get kids from 1 to 92 on the dance floor. The program is now booking for 2026.
Testimonials describe Joslyn as knowledgeable, kind, fun, patient, and consistent, and mention that lessons include a variety of dances and songs. One testimonial notes that the writer always learns something new at every lesson with Joslyn and that anyone can have fun learning to dance. Another describes private lessons with Joslyn as having clear cues, lots of patience, and a light and enjoyable experience while still learning, and mentions smooth booking and good communication. A further testimonial states that instruction from Joslyn was “top tier,” that the writers started as complete novice swing dancers and after a few lessons were moving on to drops and dips, and that setting up lessons was flexible and responsive.
