About

The Children’s Art Program (CAP) offers drawing, sculpture, painting, and printmaking in a classroom and deck space that has had a makeover to create a vibrant area for young artists. The program takes place within a member-run gallery where artwork in the gallery is changed out on the first Monday of every month, and the gallery’s commission is 25% on all sales, which provides a substantial portion of operational support for the program.

• Ages: 6–13 years old
• Price: Affordable fees; scholarships are available

The Manley uses its portion of gallery sales to further its mission to promote, through education, the appreciation, distribution, and enjoyment of fine arts and crafts. Community members who are part of the gallery volunteer for tasks such as gallery hosting, helping with Second Saturday receptions, coordinator roles, event chair positions, board membership, and other responsibilities. Artwork shown in the gallery must be clean and ready for display, with wall pieces equipped with a hanging wire or other appropriate way to hang, clean frames and glass, and any artist business cards attached only to the back of the art.
