Yamhill Carlton Soccer Club is led by YCSC Program Director Karen Wright, Coach Karen, Coaches Jon and Mick, and vision coaching expert TJ Kostecky. The club states that vision training is the backbone of all club training, uses Vision Training Soccer methodology from PreK and up, and requires every player to complete Vision Training to qualify for team league play. The club is Oregon’s first certified club with Vision Training Soccer and is the only certified Vision Training Club in Oregon.

The club describes itself as an all-volunteer program where parents and players are encouraged to get involved, and free training is offered to all volunteer coaches and parents. It is a non-profit sponsored project of Yamhill Carlton Together Cares (YCTC) and reports over 10,500 hours of volunteerism documented in 2024. Youth mentorship opportunities run year-round, with volunteer hours that can go toward the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, and players can earn this award through volunteer hours.

Yamhill Carlton Soccer Club reports that its programs are fully inclusive and integrative from toddler through adult, including players with special needs and emerging athletes, and that it sponsors over 700 hours annually of free programming. The club runs a Scholarship Program that it states makes it possible for every child who wants to play soccer to afford to and that provides equipment for many free programs. The club reports that its programs touch the lives of more than 700 people annually from toddlers to seniors, including special needs and emerging athletes.

The club encourages mixed age and skill play and notes that 3rd graders with experience, strength, and vision can be included to play 9v9 in the 4th–5th grade Classic League. In Champions Club, players can earn a club jersey after their first three days or events and patches for every additional three events, and they can earn a free Champions Club jacket by working on skills. The club states that it never tallies wins and losses and instead tracks programming and service metrics.

Yamhill Carlton Soccer Club runs a year-round Deposit Return Bottle and Can Drive for its scholarship program, with bottles and cans collected at the Arena, and any funds beyond scholarship needs are held for the 2030 Community Field Cover Project. The club notes that its record of volunteerism has been described as unparalleled by other clubs in Oregon.
