Camp Lutherwood Oregon Summer Camps

Camp Lutherwood Oregon Summer Programs includes Mini Camp for entering grades 1-2, with a three-day, two-night stay in dorm cabins. It also includes Pathfinders Camp with hiking, archery, a climbing tower, challenge course activities, free choice activities, and faith exploration; Explorers Camp with forts in the woods, campfire skits, a stargazing platform overnight sleep out, night hikes, and daily swims in the pool; and Altitude Camp with hiking, archery, arts and crafts, nature exploration, a challenge course, an overnight with cookout, and team building.

• Compass Camp — Entering grades 6-10 · $50–$100 per session · Program for campers who have experienced extreme trauma or loss or need extra support; not a faith-based program.
• Altitude Camp — Entering grades 9-12 · $500–$725 per session · Action-based activities and overnight adventure excursions; activities include hiking, archery, arts and crafts, nature exploration, challenge course, overnight with cookout, and team building.
• Crew Camp — Entering grades 9-12 · $590–$815 per session · Behind-the-scenes look at the camp experience; includes service projects, special evening programming, and white water rafting day trip.
• L.I.T. (Leaders in Training) Camp — Entering grades 11-12 & 16 or older · $750–$975 per session · Two-week leadership training program focused on problem solving, hospitality, self-confidence, self-awareness, communication, and tolerance for adversity.

About the provider

Camp Lutherwood Oregon says it creates intentional experiences for people to access the outdoors for restoration, play and growth. In 1959, a group of pastors in Eugene had a vision for a Bible camp for their kids. Families are invited to join the closing campfire followed by a picnic dinner, and the program is open to all people for year-round camps, retreats, outdoor school, and events.

Camp Lutherwood Oregon believes all people should have the opportunity to attend camp and offers a voluntary three-tiered pricing program. All camp families are different; Tier 1 reflects the true cost, Tier 2 is slightly subsidized, and Tier 3 is significantly subsidized. Minimum $100 non-refundable deposit is mentioned. Confirmation campers need to be connected with a group and leader at registration. Compass Camp is not a faith-based program.
