Boys & Girls Club of Southwestern Oregon Tennis & Pickleball offers tennis and pickleball programming that includes Hot Shots, Team Tennis, Adult Tennis, and private lessons. The program uses a full curriculum of tennis programming designed to meet the needs of all junior players and offers courses for all skill levels from recreation beginner to competitive high school players. Classes are structured to introduce age-appropriate tennis skills grounded in 21st century, industry-based standards, and Adult Tennis & Pickleball sessions are available in both morning and evening time slots.

• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Youth Hot Shots and Team Tennis classes on weekday afternoons and evenings, with Adult Tennis & Pickleball offered Monday–Thursday in morning and evening sessions, in four-week youth sessions
• Price: Hot Shots: $100 / 4 weeks; Team Tennis: $150 / 4 weeks; Adult Tennis: $12 per person each session or $100 for 10 visit punch card; Pickleball: $8 per person each session, $70 for 10 visit punch card or $100 for 20 visit punch card

Hot Shots is a class focused on introducing tennis skills to new players and includes games and drills. Team Tennis is an intense youth and teen group where participants work with advanced drills, strategies, and matches, with a focus on increasing speed, shot selection, and strategy. Adult Tennis & Pickleball runs Monday–Thursday from 9:00–11:30am and 6:30–8:30pm. Hot Shots meets Monday and Wednesday from 5:30–6:30pm, and Team Tennis meets Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30–6:30pm. Private lessons are also available.

The program’s tennis and pickleball instruction is led by Kylee Woodman, who has years of tennis playing experience. She played #1 singles all four years for North Bend High School and played for Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. She has taught players of all ages from beginner to advanced, and her attitude is described as positive, encouraging, and determined. The leadership team includes Denise Gould (Chief Professional Officer), Pam Chaney (Pacific School of Dance), Cheryl Strope (Bookkeeper), Rob Miles (Resource Development), Jay Link (Program Director), Reyna Medina (Sports Director), Roy Lans (Gymnastics Plus), and Kylee Woodman (Tennis & Pickleball Instructor). The Boys & Girls Club of Southwestern Oregon states that it is dedicated to assisting all youth to achieve their fullest potential by enhancing their self-esteem, providing positive role models, and by helping them develop the qualities needed to become caring, productive, responsible citizens.
