Cottage Theatre Youth Programs include an all-youth production of Junie B. Jones JR. The Musical. The program offers an 8-week after-school session that culminates in two fully-staged performances of Junie B. Jones JR. The Musical. Cottage Theatre Youth Programs are part of a theatre that produces plays and musicals year-round and offers educational theatre programs for children, including an annual Rhythm & Blues Revue produced in partnership with a local high school.
• Schedule: 8-week after-school program (January 7 - February 28)
Cottage Theatre Youth Programs take place within an organization that began in 1982 and has expanded its facilities in three phases known as ACT I (1998), ACT II (2006), and ACT III (2022). The mission of Cottage Theatre is “Engaging and enriching our community through the magic of live theatre.” Cottage Theatre is a member of the American Association of Community Theatre and is one of six theatres in the nation selected to produce a world premiere in the AACT 2024 NewPlayFest. The organization is fueled by volunteers, with several hundred volunteers contributing an estimated 50,000 hours of service every year, and all artistic personnel such as actors, directors, set painters, lighting designers, and ushers serving as volunteers.
