Phoenix Gymnastics Centre Programs

Phoenix Gymnastics Centre Programs includes Active Start (Preschool/KG) Camps, Gymnastics (All Apparatus) Camps, Trampoline & Tumbling Camps, Recreation Programs, GymFit/Adult Gymnastics, Competitive Programs, and the Gymnaestrada Performance Team. The camps include work on gymnastics apparatus, trampoline, double-mini trampoline, and tumbling floor, and recreation classes are offered one time per week Monday through Saturday for ages 2 years and older.

Programs

• Active Start (Preschool/KG) Camps — Preschool/KG; grouped appropriately by age (min. 3.5yrs) · Morning (9-12 PM), Afternoon (1-4 PM), Mini (10:30-12:00 PM) · Summer, winter and spring camps; register by the week or by the day; 3-Day trial option mentioned.
• Gymnastics (All Apparatus) Camps — Grouped appropriately by age; younger children may attend half day · Full Day (9-4 PM), Half Day Morning (9-12 PM), Half Day Afternoon (1-4 PM) · Camps explore all of the gymnastics apparatus and skill development.
• Trampoline & Tumbling Camps — Grouped appropriately by age; younger children may attend half day · Full Day (9-4 PM), Half Day Morning (9-12 PM), Half Day Afternoon (1-4 PM) · Focuses on improving fitness and skill development on the trampoline, double-mini trampoline, and tumbling floor.
• Recreation Programs — All ages 2yrs+ · One time per week, Monday through Saturday; Summer MICRO session Tuesdays & Thursdays only · Offered throughout the year.
• GymFit/Adult Gymnastics — Adults · Full session or drop-in; current/upcoming sessions listed for Sept/Oct, Nov/Dec, Jan/Feb, Mar/Apr, May/June; Summer MICRO Sessions in July & August · Fun, fitness based gymnastics program for adults.
• Competitive Programs — WAG 5yrs+; TG 6yrs+; Gymnaestrada Performance Team 9yrs+ · Tryout only; open tryouts offered in the Spring · Competitive programming in Women's Artistic Gymnastics and Trampoline & Tumbling; developmental, Xcel, provincial and national stream programs.
• Gymnaestrada Performance Team — 9yrs+ · Practices are Saturdays from 11:00 - 12:30 PM · Co-ed team; 9 month commitment (September - end of May).

About the provider

Phoenix Gymnastics Centre opened its doors in 1995. Phoenix's main focus is on fun and skill building. The centre has been home to National Team Members, Pan American Champions, Indo Pacific Champions, World Age Group medalists, and the 2014 Alberta Coach of the Year.

All participants in recreation programs are required to be members of the Alberta Gymnastics Federation ($65 + tax/participant). The mandatory individual participant membership is valid July 1 to June 30 and is not eligible for proration. Phoenix does not offer make-up classes. Participants are grouped appropriately by age. Children not participating in the registered class are not allowed in the gymnastics area. Phoenix reserves the right to combine or cancel camps based upon enrollment.
