The Active Start program introduces preschoolers to gymnastics concepts and has participants explore gymnastics apparatus while working on body awareness and gross motor fitness through fundamental movement patterns of gymnastics, with participants grouped by age and a minimum age of 3.5 years. Gymnastics (all apparatus) camps have participants explore all gymnastics apparatus and skill development, with coaches working with participants at their own progressive level. Trampoline & Tumbling camps focus on fitness and skill development on the trampoline, double-mini trampoline, and tumbling floor, are suitable for beginners wanting to learn to flip and fly or for cross-training for cheerleading, dance, diving, or aerials skiing, and group participants by age, with a minimum of entering grade one in the fall for full-day camps and half-day options available for younger children. Phoenix reserves the right to combine or cancel camps based on enrollment, and offers full- and half-day camps in summer, winter, and spring with the option to register by the week or by the day and a 3-day trial option for camps.

Phoenix Gymnastics Centre opened its doors in 1995 and has offered Trampoline, Tumbling and Artistic Gymnastics to the Edmonton community. Phoenix’s main focus is on fun and skill building, and Phoenix is dedicated to all athletes’ success. Phoenix is home to National Team members, Pan American champions, Indo Pacific champions, World Age Group medalists, and the 2014 Alberta Coach of the Year.

Families are asked to send a labeled water bottle, two nut-free snacks (one for half-day participants), and a lunch for full-day participants, and participants are asked to come dressed in athletic clothing with long hair tied back and no jewelry. For trampoline activities, families are asked to pack socks, a long-sleeved T-shirt, and leggings if needed, and for summer camps the lunch break may be outdoors, so participants are asked to dress for the weather.
