About
Bounce Gymnastics and Aerial Arts Center offers gymnastics, aerial circus arts, circus activities, trampolines, arts and crafts, walks, open gym, camps, birthday parties, shows, and performances. The program also offers aerial yoga for adults.
• Ages: 2–18 years old
• Schedule: Open gym options on selected dates during winter break, with separate times for ages 5 and younger and for all age kids; no regular classes during winter break from Dec 22–Jan 3, with classes resuming Monday Jan 5th.
Bounce Gymnastics and Aerial Arts Center states a mission “to have lots of fun in our unique gymnastics and aerial school that will develop life-long skills for children of all ages and abilities.” The program notes that it is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming learning environment and has a Diversity Statement that references varied learning styles, socioeconomic backgrounds, race, religions, ideology, gender identity, culture, and ethnicity. The distinct Bounce learning environment is described as reflective of the diverse community that surrounds it.
Owner and Director Naja Rossoff leads the Recreation Preschool Age Class Department and has over 30 years of experience teaching gymnastics from preschool ages through competitive team levels. Adrienne “A” Wise is the Aerial Department Leader and Recreation Coach, directs the circus arts program, and can be seen performing with Bounce and with the group Girl Circus. Adrienne Wise began aerial training in 2009 under the instruction of Francia, founder of the Circus Arts program at Bounce, has trained at aerial studios in Portland, focuses on aerial fabric, and has a long background in tumbling, contortion, and dance (jazz, contemporary, and modern). She completed an undergraduate degree at Reed College in psychology and dance and a Master’s degree in social psychology at the University of Oregon.
The program notes that it offers classes for all ages, allows students to register and start in any class that currently has space, and pro-rates mid-month signups. It is always taking class registrations and wait list requests and states that there is something offered all year long. Bounce also offers no school day camps that include activities such as arts and crafts, walks, trampolines, and circus activities.
One parent testimonial states that “Bounce’s no school day camps are the best,” describing a variety of activities each day, mentioning that an older child can enjoy circus activities, and noting that the children “always come home tuckered out.”
