Music Camps @ Wallowa Lake includes group warmups, masterclasses, mass ensembles, chamber ensembles, music theory, music history, and student performances. Campers also take part in hiking, paddle boating, horseback riding, miniature golfing, group games, and teamwork exercises. Brass Camp and Woodwind Camp each run for six days.
• Schedule: Brass Camp runs Sunday, June 21 through Saturday, June 27, 2026, and Woodwind Camp runs July 19–25, 2026, with each camp lasting six days
• Price: $820.00 per camper; Two-Camp Special: Attend both camps for just $1440
Brass Camp at Wallowa Lake includes group warmups, masterclasses, mass ensembles, chamber ensembles, and more, coached by faculty of musicians from the great orchestras of the Pacific Northwest, including members of the Faculty Brass Quartet from the Oregon Symphony. Woodwind campers spend six days with woodwind faculty from the region’s professional orchestras and universities. The program is for brass and saxophone players in middle or high school.
The leadership team includes Larry Johnson (President), Linda Birnbaum (Director), Dave Felley (Director), Amy Kao (Brass Camp Manager / Director), Kelly Hardy (Treasurer / Woodwind Camp Manager / Director), Jace Rowland (Secretary / Director / Music Educator), Andy Nelson (Head Counselor / Director / Music Educator), Charles Reneau (Director), Rebecca Simmons (Director / Camp Fairy Godmother / Music Educator), Jeff Sizer (Director / Music Educator), and Quentin DeWitt (Director / Music Educator). Staff credentials include faculty of musicians from major Pacific Northwest orchestras, members of the Faculty Brass Quartet from the Oregon Symphony, woodwind faculty from regional professional orchestras and universities, and music educators Larry Johnson (Former Assistant Principal Horn, Oregon Symphony / Music Educator), Charles Reneau (Bass Trombone, Oregon Symphony), Rebecca Simmons, Jeff Sizer, Quentin DeWitt, and Andy Nelson.
Music Camps @ Wallowa Lake states that each summer the board strives to reach its goal of providing high quality camps specifically to serve students in Oregon. Music Camps @ Wallowa Lake is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all donations are tax deductible. The organization notes that Music Camps @ Wallowa Lake is only possible through generous donations.
