Student Theater Camps includes activities such as theater games, socially engaging exercises, improv, and drama activities. Participants explore the basics of acting, music, and movement, and may be involved in making sets and props, costumes, tech for sound and video, and backstage crew. Camp sessions include audition and rehearsal time and conclude with performances, including mini-shows for the community and full productions.

• Schedule: Three-week all-day summer camp option, one-week spring break camp, and one-week Little Sprouts summer camps with separate morning and afternoon sessions
• Price: Dr. Dolittle Jr. Youth Summer Theater Camp 2025 tuition $435; Missoula Children’s Theatre Spring Break Theater Camp $175; Little Sprouts Summer Theater Camps $150

Little Sprouts Summer Theater Camps are for children in grades K–4 (ages 6–10) and include exploring the basics of acting, music, and movement as a team and performing a mini-show for the community. Missoula Children’s Theatre Spring Break Theater Camp produces a full production in one week, and MCT provides costumes, props, and staging for this camp. Scholarships are available in each age group, and multi-student discounts are available for Dr. Dolittle Jr. Youth Summer Theater Camp 2025, Missoula Children’s Theatre Spring Break Theater Camp, and Little Sprouts Summer Theater Camps. For high school juniors and seniors, an internship is offered on the business side of organizing and running the camps.

The program is part of the Ross Ragland Theater’s education offerings, which operate under the mission to bring the arts and arts-based education to the Klamath Basin. The Ross Ragland Theater is a year-round, multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary arts center that has hosted a wide array of performers and productions since its opening in 1989. The Education Director is Dawn Loew, and the Director is Katy Garvin, who is the band director at Henley High School and the Klamath County School District Music Coordinator and holds a master’s in music education from the American Band College of Central Washington University.
