Items to leave at home include expensive clothes; clothing with inappropriate phrases, pictures, or connotations or clothing that is too revealing; weapons or anything that can be construed as a weapon, including propellant toys; cell phones; iPods; gaming devices or other video toys; pets of any kind; and money unless specified in the weekly schedule.

The YMCA of Klamath Falls was organized in 1947. In April 1950, the William H. Fluhrer estate made it possible for the YMCA to purchase the former Fluhrer’s Bakery building at 722 Pine Street. In 1969, the YMCA broke ground at its location on Alameda Avenue, and the formal opening of the new facility took place in January 1971. The Klamath YMCA evolved into The Klamath County Family YMCA, and that name was used until January 2012, when a national rebranding of the YMCA of the USA brought changes in the look, voice, and message of YMCAs nationwide, and the organization became The YMCA of Klamath Falls. The YMCA of Klamath Falls is a 501 C 3 not-for-profit organization. The mission of The YMCA of Klamath Falls is to put Christian principles into practice for all by promoting youth development, encouraging healthy living, and practicing social responsibility.
