About

Oregon Tech LEGO Camps use LEGO Education Spike kits so students can create and code through different independently paced units. During camp, students learn how they can use robotics to solve real-world problems or create exciting new inventions, learn the fundamental principles of engineering, enhance personal creativity, and learn to collaborate with their partner. Each day, campers build upon the skills they learned the previous day as they prepare for the next level of LEGO Robotics.

• Schedule: LEGO Primary and Middle grade camps are half days and run Monday through Thursday.
• Price: LEGO camps are offered at no cost to students this year.

The program leadership team includes Mary-Jane Owen, Associate Director, EPO, and Willow Augustine, Precollege Coordinator. Students are welcome to bring a lunch from home to either the AM or PM camp, and snacks are provided throughout each camp session. As the week progresses, students’ confidence levels increase and they feel equipped to handle challenges with a positive outlook, a healthy growth mindset, and a freshly exercised brain. Students have the opportunity to see old friends and make some new ones. Campers must meet age or grade requirements on or before the first day of camp with no exceptions to age limits, and both camper and parent or guardian must read and agree to adhere to the Oregon Tech LEGO Camp Code of Conduct.
