OCCA Youth Arts Camps and Classes are part of the Oregon Coast Council for the Arts, whose mission is to celebrate, promote, and develop community arts on the central Oregon Coast, with a dedication to Belonging, Learning, Creativity, Inclusion, and Collaboration. OCCA offers performing arts day camps for youth each summer, led by experienced theatre instructors. The Oregon Coast Council for the Arts manages the Newport Performing Arts Center, the Newport Visual Arts Center, and the Oregon Coast Art Bus, and brings arts education, engaging opportunities, and creative experiences to coastal communities, especially serving those with limited access to art or transportation. The Oregon Coast Art Bus is described as a beautiful mobile arts classroom and a traveling work of art, and the Newport Visual Arts Center presents free-to-the-public rotating art exhibits.
