About
Catalyst: NWCT’s Youth Company is an advanced training program where students take part in performance opportunities, production opportunities, classes, workshops, and self-selected projects. Company members can audition for Catalyst productions, Mainstage productions, and a holiday show, and may focus on performing arts or technical and design theater. Activities include auditions and callbacks where students may memorize and perform a monologue, learn and perform a dance in groups, and learn a song at the audition, along with access to self-selected performances, classes, and workshops based on age and interest.

• Price: There is an annual $50 registration fee, paid when artists are accepted into the program. Performance, workshop, and class tuition varies from $75 – $350.
Catalyst: NWCT’s Youth Company is an advanced training program for performing arts and technical and design theater students ages 12 to 18, and its main goal is to facilitate learning by doing. Students develop their craft under the mentorship of professional theater artists. Participation is by application and audition, or invitation only, and new member auditions take place twice per year, in the spring and fall. Catalyst productions and Mainstage productions are cast by the director based on students’ audition submissions and possible callbacks, interested technical theater and design only students only have to fill out the Catalyst application, tuition assistance is available for qualifying students, and Mainstage performers of all ages are paid.
