About

Kids Community Learning Center Summer Camp includes activities in art, science, literature, and socio-emotional learning. The program also offers indoor and outdoor play, group games, creative projects, private music lessons, Free Choice/Free Play, nutritious snacks, enrichment activities, leadership activities, and a Supplemental Clubs Program.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7am–6pm

Kids Community Learning Center has been providing quality child care in NW Portland for over 40 years. The mission of Kids Community is to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which kids grow together through creative exploration, meaningful relationships, fun, and social-emotional learning support. Kids Community is a 501c(3) non-profit organization. The program is a before and after-care program serving K–5th students in the Portland Public School District, with a before-care program available to students at Metropolitan Learning Center and an after-care program available to students at Metropolitan Learning Center, Chapman Elementary, and Ainsworth Elementary School. The summer camp is available to all families. Private music lessons include 25 minutes of one-on-one instruction with one of the skilled instructors and are available year-round. Kids Community goals include providing flexible affordable child care to all families, offering hands-on learning and creative exploration, allowing all participants to have a voice and choice in planned activities, building teamwork and positive conflict resolution skills, promoting respect and integrity, and having fun.
