Make Art PDX

Make Art PDX offers summer art camps and classes where kids and teens work on drawing, stickers, laser cutting, felting, animation, character drawing, and other projects in drawing, painting, sculpture, or digital art. The program includes specific options such as a 3-day drawing class, a 3-day stickers and drawing class, and a 3-day character drawing and felting class, with all materials provided. Summer art workshops are available for ages 8–18, and the studio is set up as a working artist studio for young creators in a supportive, sensory-friendly environment.

The instructors at Make Art PDX are professional artists with experience at NIKE, LAIKA Animation, Hasbro Toys, Warner Brothers, and Roblox. The program’s summer intensives for ages 10 and up are described as focusing on digital art, traditional techniques, personal branding, and professional preparation. Make Art PDX notes that every shirt, sticker, and tote purchased through the program supports its scholarship fund, which is used to help more kids access the arts. The program also highlights that after school studio memberships are coming soon, offers an Anytime Drop-In Pass that can be used for any open class session, and makes use of iPads, cell phones, and other digital tools that fit into a backpack.
