Pipster Prep is an active learning preschool that offers preschool, Pre-K, Mini Pipster, and Miniest Pipster classes, along with Friday Night Pajama Parties. Friday Night Pajama Parties include dinner and run in the evening. Preschool and Pre-K classrooms have small class sizes with ten to fourteen children per day and low teacher/child ratios, and breakfast and an afternoon snack are served every day.

• Price: Preschool Monthly Tuition: 5 days/week $1,706 per month; 4 days/week $1,586 per month; 3 days/week $1,213 per month; 2 days/week $861 per month. Mini Pipster Rates (NE, Concordia, Hillside, Lake Oswego): 5 days/week $2,158 per month; 4 days/week $1,958 per month; 3 days/week $1,486 per month; 2 days/week $1,045 per month. Miniest Pipster Rates (Concordia only): 5 days/week $2,683 per month.
Pipster Prep offers a fun, engaging, developmentally appropriate preschool and Pre-K program for potty trained students 3 to 5 years old. Mini Pipster classes are for two year olds, and Miniest Pipster classes are for students as young as 18 months. Friday Night Pajama Parties are for children ages 3 to 8 years old. Mini Pipster classes are available at the Lake Oswego, Concordia, Piedmont, and Hillside locations, and Miniest Pipster classes are available at the Concordia location. Students in preschool and Pre-K must be potty-trained and fully out of diapers and pull-ups before beginning in a preschool or Pre-K classroom, and students in Mini Pipster and Miniest Pipster classrooms do not need to be potty trained. Students are asked to have at least one full change of clothing stored at Pipster Prep. Breakfast consists of non-sugary cereal, fruit, and coconut/cows milk, and the afternoon snack menu is posted at the front desk. Pipster Prep primarily enrolls for summer and fall, with limited spots available during the school year.

Pipster Prep staff members follow both the student-centered and constructivist approach to learning. A student-centered approach to learning is focused on each student's needs, abilities, interests, and learning styles. The constructivist approach to learning is the belief that students learn through actively engaging in lessons and activities. Pipster Prep believes that students should spend much of the day actively engaged in activities of their choosing. Educating children is the stated mission, and parents are described as the customers.
Pipster Prep was voted Best Preschool in Portland by Willamette Week readers for three consecutive years (2018, 2019, 2020) before Willamette Week ended the Best Preschool category. Pipster Prep Northwest opened April 1, 2014. Pipster Prep Piedmont (the NE location move) opened April 1, 2025, and the NE Killingsworth location officially closed as of March 31, 2025.
