US World Class Taekwondo Association Hollywood School

US World Class Taekwondo Association Hollywood School offers the Tiny Tiger Program, Junior classes, Teens & Adults program, and Family Program. The Tiny Tiger Program includes blocks, kicks, punches, and Taekwondo basics. Junior classes, the Teens & Adults program, and the Family Program include Taekwondo training, self-defense, forms/Poomsae, kicking techniques, and footwork skills.

Programs

• Tiny Tiger Program — toddlers up to age six · Introduces children to Taekwondo; focuses on blocks, kicks, punches, self-esteem, confidence, personal character, listening, self-control, self-confidence, and social interaction.
• Junior classes — 7 to 12 years · Taekwondo training for juniors with emphasis on holistic development, respect, academic achievement, self-control, and self-confidence.
• Teens & Adults program — 13 years and up · Taekwondo instruction with fitness, self-defense, leadership abilities, self-discipline, self-confidence, and support for academic, career, and personal growth.
• Family Program — families of all belt levels and ages · Family bonding activity that reinforces core family values, respect for parents, siblings, teachers, and academic endeavors.

At a glance

• Ages: 0–18 years old
• General schedule: On Mondays and Tuesdays, the curriculum emphasizes Hand Techniques, Self Defense, and Forms/Poomsae. Wednesdays and Thursdays are dedicated to Kicking Techniques and Footwork skills.
• Facility hours: Mon to Thu - 2pm to 8pm; Fri - 2pm to 6:30pm; Sat & Sun - 9:30am to Noon

About the provider

The school says it has served Portland, Oregon since 1995. Its leadership team includes Grand Master Diwakar “Dan” Maharjan, Master Minu Maharjan, Master Karen Blackledge, and Instructor Edi Kuhn. The school says the staff includes US National Coaches, Olympians, and National Champions, with more than 50 years of teaching experience, more than 45,000 hours of classes taught, and more than 2,000 Black Belts produced.
