About
Rose City Futsal Youth Programs offers futsal and indoor soccer for kids, including futsal academies, youth leagues, and a summer kids camp. The program takes place at indoor courts where futsal is played as a five-a-side game on a hard court about the size of a basketball court, using a smaller, heavier, low-bounce ball that stays on the ground more.
• Ages: 1–15 years old
• Schedule: Facility hours available Monday–Thursday 4pm–10pm, Friday 4pm–7pm, and Saturday–Sunday 8am–12pm
• Price: Annual membership is $20
Rose City Futsal Youth Programs is part of Rose City Futsal, which was founded in 2013 by ten Portland families passionate about soccer, with a second location opening in 2016. The mission of Rose City Futsal is to grow the game of futsal while building a supportive community around indoor soccer in Portland. Every player needs an annual membership and personal player card, which is used to check in to facilities and sign in for games, and membership is required to play. The program offers community teams for players not already on a team, supported by a Community Team Manager, and youth academies with a low coach-to-player ratio. Each facility includes a second-floor mezzanine with Clive’s Pub and a viewing area overlooking the courts, which some parents and players describe in testimonials as a nice place to watch games, with friendly and helpful staff and a full-service restaurant and bar. Testimonials from families describe the youth programs as “the best soccer for kids,” praise the coaches’ kindness, knowledge, and enthusiasm, and mention that kids look forward to their weekly classes and camps. Rose City Futsal is described in testimonials as an amazing community hub of both physical and social activity across generations, with clean, well-maintained futsal courts that are in great shape.
