Village Preschool of Portland offers a combined class program for children ages 3 to 6. The classroom includes a Block room, an Art room, and a spacious outdoor playground. Families may choose 2 to 5 days per week, and Fridays are reserved for Seniors.

About the provider

Village Preschool has been around since 1955 and is described as a cooperative play school and a co-op. It was created by parents in Southwest Portland and is managed by parents of the children enrolled. Lead Teacher Tara has been part of the Village Preschool community since 2018 and trained with seasoned teacher Jamie Clary, who served as lead teacher for over a decade.

Village Preschool admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin. It does not discriminate on those bases in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs. Rules are enforced without rewarding, punishing or praising. Scholarship funds may be available. Tuition and fees are subject to change. There is a nonrefundable $100 application fee, an annual operating fee of $200, a family fundraising obligation of $500, and an optional Lunch & Play fee for Seniors of $9/day.
