About

Capital Futbol Club Youth Soccer Programs include spring youth soccer, the Farr Post Goalkeeping Camp, and two Winter Youth Indoor sessions (Session I and Session II). These programs take place at the Jason Sharp Center, which is a new indoor facility with a new field and classroom space.

Capital Futbol Club was originally founded as Salem United Soccer Club in June 1993 through a merger of four Salem soccer clubs, with an official start-up date of September 1, 1993. The club’s mission is to develop excellent soccer players and responsible citizens, using soccer as a vehicle for enriching kids’ lives. Through soccer, Capital Futbol Club helps nearly 6,000 children in the community reach their full potential. The club had a long-term partnership with Coerver Coaching beginning in 2011, supporting younger ages with a focus on strong individual technical development. In the fall of 2013, Capital FC agreed to become one of the first Portland Timbers Alliance partner clubs in Oregon, and the partnership with the Timbers ended in 2022. Capital FC acquired the rights to the Timbers U23 USL2 Franchise in 2017, and the Timbers U23 team were Western Conference Champions in 2021. CFC brought home its third National Title in 4 years, with the 208B ECNL-RL squad crowned USYS Presidents Cup National Champions, and the 2008B ECNL-RL squad bringing home Oregon’s first-ever Presidents Cup National Championship. The club focuses on professional, developmental, player-focused soccer programming for kids of all ages and skill levels, emphasizes developing “championship citizens,” and aims to create a diverse, strong, connected, and caring community through soccer. The new indoor Jason Sharp Center is being built for connection and community and includes a new field and classroom space.
