Reason's World Taekwondo Academy offers taekwondo and karate, along with fitness classes and self-defense training. Students also train with offensive weapons such as nunchucks, combat sticks, and bo staff, and learn defensive strategies against weapons like knives and guns.

• Schedule: Regular classes run during the week, with Monday classes in July and August at the Salem studio starting at 8:00pm, and the Friday children's class alternating on and off each week through the rest of the summer.
Reason's World Taekwondo Academy opened on January 7, 2020, and has since expanded from its original garage setting through several moves and the addition of a second studio. The owner and head instructor, Randy Reason, is a 4th Dan black belt with taekwondo training that began in 2007 and includes rank promotions in 2010, 2019, 2021, and 2025 under multiple masters. He has 43 years of experience working in the public school system as a PE, Health, and Math teacher and coach at the elementary, middle school, high school, and collegiate levels, and he retired from full-time teaching in 2022. Assistant Instructor Preston Reason is working on his 4th degree black belt, began taekwondo training in 2007, and earned his 1st Dan in 2010, 2nd Dan in 2022, and 3rd Dan in 2025. The academy states a goal of developing people with black belt attitudes, black belt hearts, and black belt abilities, with an emphasis on character qualities such as respect, courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, leadership, self-confidence, goal-setting, and serving others through community service projects, as well as physical qualities like muscular strength, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, agility, balance, and coordination. The academy trains in accordance with the rules and regulations of World Taekwondo and the Kukkiwon, and notes that a Kukkiwon certificate is widely regarded as a prestigious black belt certificate within taekwondo. A percentage of the academy’s profits each month is donated to Feeding America, local food banks, and children's hospitals, and it uses the slogan, “Families that kick together, stick together!”
