About
Metro Gymnastics Center Camps & Classes offers instruction on gymnastics events including bars, beam, floor, vault, and rings, along with supervised gym rotations. Camp and class activities can also include trampoline, foam pit, bounce house days, play on the swings, play in pits, play on inflatables, play on trampolines, arts and crafts, educational games, educational activities, games, and room time. The program also offers Birthday Parties, Summer Camps, Mini-Nationals, Skill Clinics, gymnastics classes, team gymnastics programs, preschool programs, and dance through Metro Dance Academy.

• Schedule: 2026 Summer Camps run for 8 weeks, with camp days from 8:45am–3:00pm and optional extended care from 8:00–8:45am or 3:00–4:00pm
Metro Gymnastics Center Camps & Classes has seasonal camps throughout the year and offers flexible options including morning, afternoon, or full-day extended care. Campers are divided into groups based on age and skill level, and requests may be made for siblings or friends to be together, subject to age and skill appropriate planning. All activities are directly supervised, and all camp participants must be potty trained.
Metro Gymnastics Center was founded in March 1990 and has grown from approximately 60 students to over 1,100 students. The facility has expanded from 11,000 square feet to 21,000 square feet. Metro Gymnastics Center has been serving the community since 1990, and its slogan is “Where Kids Get a Jump on Life!”
All Metro staff are required to be certified in First Aid/CPR, Safe Sport, and Heads Up Concussion, and all staff are registered with the NCSI Background Check program. The leadership team includes David Klein, President of Metro Gymnastics Center; Annette McIsaac, Office Manager and contact for Birthday Parties and Mini Movers information; Autumn Stone, Girls Recreational Gymnastics Director; Sara Halverson, Girls Team Head Coach and Team Director; Lucas Myers, Boys Team Head Coach; and Stephanie Morris, Metro Dance Academy Director.
Metro Gymnastics Center states its mission as providing a fun, positive, and self-esteem building environment for all children and adults who participate in its programs by teaching children that they have self-worth, keeping children safe and healthy, helping children to love to learn, and helping children to learn physical skills. Metro Gymnastics has been designated a Gold Medal Children’s Activity Center by Character Counts!, and David Klein received the Frank Cumiskey Award in 2019, which is described as the highest honor for USA Gymnastics volunteers.
Families are asked to send children in clothes for gymnastics or active play, with long hair tied back. Girls may wear a leotard or a t-shirt or tank that can be tucked in with shorts or leggings, and boys may wear a t-shirt that can be tucked in with shorts. All students leave shoes and socks in cubbies before entering the gym. Parents supply snacks and lunches, with one snack for half-day and two snacks plus a lunch for full-day camps, and full-day campers bring a non-perishable lunch from home. Each camper brings a backpack labeled with their name that holds all items, a labeled water bottle, and for full-day events a clearly labeled non-perishable lunch, and younger children are asked to bring a change of clothes in case of an accident. Families are asked not to send money, toys, or jewelry of any kind.
