The program is led by an experienced leadership team that includes Owner Josiah Lake, General Manager Sean Overton, Program Manager Marco Williams, Marketing Manager Laurie Cren, and Content Manager Max d’Auvergne. Josiah played basketball at Oregon State University, graduating with multiple business degrees in 2001, and spent 11 years working for Brand Jordan as Global Director of Jordan Footwear. Sean played Division I football at Southern University of Baton Rouge, earned a Bachelor of Science degree, continued his education through the International Sports Science Association and the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and has spent 25 years focused on creating better athletes through corrective exercise techniques. Coach Demarco “Marco” Williams is a former college athlete with over six years of coaching experience, including three years in basketball. Coach Laurie has 16 years of high-level basketball playing experience, including Elite level play in France for Montpellier BLMA and Toulouse TMB, holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Warner Pacific, and has coached in France and the United States with former Olympic players and professional coaches from France, Serbia, and Spain, including FC Barcelona. Coach Maxwell d’Auvergne played high school basketball at Rex Putnam High School, then at Portland Community College, and at Arizona Christian University (NAIA Division I), where he was part of a top-10 nationally ranked team that reached the Sweet 16 of the NAIA National Tournament; he later became head varsity coach at Rex Putnam in 2021, leading the team to its first state championship tournament appearances in 40 years and earning NWOC Coach of the Year in both of his first two seasons.

The Practice Facility opened in 2013 when Josiah Lake focused on it full-time, and in 2017 it expanded to China in partnership with Elite Basketball. The program describes itself as built by players for players and states that it offers a wide range of training options in a supportive but challenging environment, working with various skill levels from young beginners to established professionals who share a consistent drive to get better. It emphasizes dedication, consistency, hard work, and focused training, guidance, and coaching to reach high standards, and states that its goal is to “Work Harder.” The facility is described as the most comprehensive training facility in the Northwest, with camps that combine skill development, decision-making, and game application, along with the Shot Lab, Performance Lab, and Recovery Lab powered by Normatec and HyperVolt technology. In 2017, the expansion to China in partnership with Elite Basketball brought the program’s training and passion for the game to players overseas. Max d’Auvergne’s recognition includes winning NWOC Coach of the Year in both of his first two seasons as head coach at Rex Putnam.
