About
America 250 Patriotic Performance Choir features students singing patriotic songs and performing two short skits. Under the direction of drama teacher Mia Tepper, participants rehearse together and then present a community performance that includes these songs and skits. The performance on July 11, 2026, is planned to last approximately 20–30 minutes.
• Ages: 9–11 years old
• Schedule: Students arrive at 9 am on July 11, 2026, for rehearsal, followed by an 11 am community performance
This event is part of Butler Arts & Cultural District’s Steeples and Stacks program, which is connected to Butler's first-ever Steeples & Stacks Heritage Weekend, a community celebration of the city's history, arts, and culture. All incoming Butler Area School District 4th and 5th grade students are welcome and encouraged to participate in this special America 250 patriotic performance. Nine Butler Intermediate and Senior High School students will perform two short, 5-minute skits that sprinkle facts with humor and are described as an educational delight for all ages.
