Lifesteps Early Education & Child Development Services offers FREE child developmental screenings and FREE Autism screenings. The program includes Early Education Centers for children of every ability, as well as Employment Services, Day Programs, Community Homes, and Life Sharing/Family Living.

Lifesteps is a 501(c) (3) Agency that has served local communities since 1923. Its mission is helping individuals and families with life’s changing needs by developing programs and providing services which will improve their quality of life. Lifesteps is managed locally and governed by a community Board of Directors, and continues to offer programs and services that meet local needs. Lifesteps maintains and operates programs and services in more than 64 locations throughout Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Indiana, Washington and Westmoreland Counties, with Program Centers in Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Indiana and Washington County and 49 Community Homes located throughout Western Pennsylvania. The Agency serves the community with over 600 staff and has over 700 employees. Lifesteps has a history of helping individuals and families along life’s journey for nearly a century, believes people with every ability have the right to live to their fullest potential, and states that services for children, families, adults with special needs and seniors are designed to encourage growth, independence, confidence and dignity. Lifesteps is dedicated to providing quality care in a family-focused environment.
