Barn Nature Center Programs

Barn Nature Center Programs include birthday parties, special events, summer camp, workshops, parties, tours, camps, Scout programs, outreach presentations, toddler classes, and family outings. Children can take part in activities such as feeding a 130-pound Sulcata Tortoise, entering a free flight aviary, and interacting with exotic animal ambassadors through touch, holding, and feeding. The program also offers themed events and workshops such as Barn Back to School Bingo!, Mad Scientist, and Dinosaur Discovery.

The Barn Nature Center is a non-profit, educational animal sanctuary for rescued and re-homed exotic pets, with interactive exhibits showcasing over 45 diverse species from around the world. Since its opening in 2012, it has rescued numerous exotic companion animals and expanded its educational and recreational programming. Its mission is to offer quality care to its animal ambassadors and deliver environmental and wildlife education to the public, with staff dedicated to helping guests develop a deeper connection with wildlife and an understanding of how animals, people, and the environment are interconnected. Community involvement includes community service programs for at-risk youth and adults with special needs that use hands-on animal interactions, as well as a partnership with Delaware Valley University that facilitates internships for college students. The Barn Nature Center receives over 10,000 visitors each year and is a sought-after destination for children’s birthday parties, Scout trips, school groups, toddler classes, family outings, and special events.
