Doylestown Township Parks & Recreation Programs are offered through the Doylestown Township Department of Parks and Recreation. The department provides a wide range of parks, programs, and services that include active pursuits such as hiking, biking, exercise, and other recreational activities. Over 30 miles of trails and more than 400 acres of active and passive parkland, including seven parks, are available for organized and self-directed activities, special events, and wildlife and plant observation.

Doylestown Township was founded in 1818. The department’s mission is to provide a comprehensive system of quality parks, open space, recreation facilities, and trails, while offering programs and events that enhance personal development, promote healthy lifestyles, encourage community involvement and collaboration, and foster environmental stewardship, and to responsibly manage parks, facilities, and the natural environment to protect and maintain park and recreation assets. The leadership team includes Cortnie Jones, Director of Parks & Recreation; Dave Tomko, Director of Operations; Chris Mason, Parks Superintendent; Christian Farrell, Assistant Director of Parks & Recreation; Melissa Flemming, Recreation Program Manager; Katie Chookagian, Recreation Program Specialist; and Clorece Kulp, Office Manager. The department states that it offers a variety of services and activities to residents and visitors and that it aims to improve its connection with the Doylestown community and make its services more accessible.
