Northeastern Child Care Services (NCCS), the not-for-profit organization behind Treasure House Child Development Centers, began operations on February 2, 1989, with five child care centers and was founded by Judith Graziano, who had administered child care programs since 1968. Treasure House is described as a child-centered program whose practices are rooted in sound child development theories and follows teaching guidelines established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The program utilizes The Creative Curriculum for infant through pre-K programs and The Emergent Curriculum for school-age programs, with learning activities planned to engage children’s natural curiosity about the world they live in.
