Camp Nesher offers a choice-based program where campers take part in sports, arts, waterfront and other water activities, outdoor adventure, Torah learning, and athletics. The program includes a Media Center with recent camp videos and Camper/Staff Choirs from past years.
• Ages: 8–15 years old
Camp Nesher is a Modern Orthodox Jewish summer camp for boys and girls entering 3rd through 10th grade. The camp is built on a foundation that combines bein adam l’chavero, treating others with respect, and hakarat hatov, acknowledging acts of kindness, and these ideals are present in all aspects of camp life. The camp states that both Torah and Tefillah play an integral role in daily life at camp, and that campers attend from around the world. A short stay program is offered for rising 3rd and 4th graders that gives them a taste of a range of Camp Nesher activities. The camp has a Health Center staff that oversees medical care throughout the summer.
Camp Nesher staff are described as carefully chosen for their skills and personal qualities, forming a community of counselors, specialists, and supervisors led by a seasoned team of directors. Staff are recruited from North America, Israel, and beyond, and are described as enthusiastic people who have a passion for working with children and understand the importance of acting as positive role models.
