About

Camp Zeke is an overnight summer camp where kids take part in fitness, cooking, sports, gourmet food, yoga, performing arts, visual arts, hiking, swimming, weightlifting, dance, running, martial arts, circus performance, and events with some traditional camp activities. Campers can play soccer, basketball, baseball/softball, volleyball, and tennis, and they also have access to waterfront activities, swimming, and boating. The program’s schedule is based on choice, with youngest campers traveling with their bunks and older campers creating their day based on their interests.

• Ages: 7–17 years old

Camp Zeke’s mission is to be the first and only overnight summer camp where kids celebrate healthy, active living through fitness, cooking, sports, gourmet food, and joyful Judaism. The camp has three teaching kitchens for its cooking program. About 300 campers attend each session, and campers come from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, the DC-Metro area, Florida, and other parts of the United States and the globe. The camp has several bus locations to bring campers to camp and also picks up at Newark Airport for campers traveling from various distant locations.

The camp is run by its founders, with an associate director and director of new families, a chief operating officer, and a registrar handling areas such as future families, enrolled families, retreat groups and facility rentals, billing questions, and current and future staff. The hand-picked staff includes accomplished athletes, chefs, trainers, performers, artists, and other staff members who serve as mentors to campers. Most staff members are from New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Camp Zeke is fully accredited by the American Camp Association and is proudly supported by organizations that recognize this accreditation.

Parents describe strong communication, including daily photos of camp life, and note that their children have enjoyed the camp and want to return. Parent feedback highlights the variety of activities, cooking classes and teaching kitchens, swim instruction, fireworks on July 4th, and the availability of air conditioning and heat, as well as private bathrooms and showers in the bunks. Parents also mention that staff members are dedicated and enthusiastic, that the facility is modern and well kept, and that the camp takes safety seriously and offers a personalized approach to campers if requested. Parents report that the camp’s values and approach appeal to them and that they highly recommend Camp Zeke.
