Gwyn Meadows Farm is a full-service equestrian facility with more than 40 stalls, an indoor ring, an outdoor ring, wash stalls, a tack room, and turnout fields. For over 50 years, it has provided care for horses and a safety-first environment for lesson students, beginning after the property was purchased in November 1972 and the farm started with 50 horses in 1973. Richard Scarlett and Trudy Donnon started Gwyn Meadows Farm, and in 2001 their daughter, Amy Scarlett Haskins, took over the day-to-day operations; Amy lives on the property with her husband Chris and their children, Addison and Brooks, while Richard lives in the other half of the home. The farm describes itself as very child friendly and family oriented, with three generations of the Scarlett family sharing their involvement there, and it states that each pony or horse is dedicated to care and good health and treated like a member of the family. Richard takes friends and students to paper chases, fox hunts, local trail rides, and horseback destinations around the world, and some former students now return with their own children. Members of the family have won numerous awards at the Devon Horse Show and other local horse shows, and in 2012 Addison and Brooks both rode and placed in lead-line at the Devon Horse Show.
