North Penn YMCA Summer Camps offer sports, games, swimming, and enrichment education as part of their camp days. Each camp includes weekly themes, and each camp provides a variety of outdoor and recreational activities tailored to its site. Overnight camp options are available at Conrad Weiser and Camp Speers, with discounts for YMCA members.
• Ages: 4–13 years old
• Price: Each registered week requires a $25/week non-refundable deposit to reserve a spot; memberships can be within a family membership or as a youth program member ($50), and overnight camp at Conrad Weiser offers YMCA members a 10% discount while overnight camp at Camp Speers offers members $100 off with code YMEMBER.
North Penn YMCA Summer Camps are part of an organization established in 1955. The North Penn YMCA mission is to make the community it serves a better place to live by enriching and strengthening families, providing supervised recreation, offering learning, leadership and character development opportunities, and promoting wellness for all people regardless of ability to pay. YMCA programs teach the core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility, and North Penn YMCA states that no one is turned away because of an inability to pay. North Penn YMCA provides programs and services for children, teens, seniors, families, and those with special needs in the North Penn, Indian Valley, and Perkiomen Valley communities, including on-site childcare at schools in two local school districts and outreach programs in multiple locations. The association engages in fundraising through an annual campaign, special events, grants, bequests, and individual, corporate, or foundation support to provide access regardless of ability to pay. The leadership team includes Bob Gallagher, Chief Executive Officer; Nancie DeCoursey, Chief Financial Officer; Kelsey Chau, Marketing & Financial Development Director; DonnaLea Pyrz, Insurance & Programming Specialist; Beth Welsh, Human Resources Assistant; Sangeeta Kharbanda, Chief Operating Officer; Diane Greve, Harleysville Early Childhood Center Branch Director; Chelse Burton, Membership Director at Indian Valley; Dominque Lanza, Wellness Director at Indian Valley; and Wendy McLaughlin, Group Exercise Coordinator at Indian Valley. Families register for North Penn YMCA Summer Camps by ensuring the child has a North Penn YMCA membership, submitting a $25/week non-refundable deposit for each registered week, and printing and mailing or dropping off the completed summer camp registration packet to their North Penn YMCA branch.
