About
YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh Summer Day Camps include activities such as swimming, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, sports, and team-building games. Campers take part in themed experiences like a camp-wide escape room challenge, an Eye Spy Take-Home Mission, The Great Goo Gauntlet, and launching colorful explosions. Additional activities include taking home an environment-friendly plant, creating popsicle stick Cars characters, an action-packed game of tag, dress as your favorite character day, a special family movie-themed event, a light the path obstacle course, and Everyone’s Birthday Celebration. Campers also build high-flying straw rockets, create a vibrant handprint macaw, try a penguin waddle relay, go on a nature walk and hunt, join a kindness carnival, design their own Terrible Towel, dress like a favorite Pittsburgh or local sports team, design swirling Chalk Galaxy Art, try the don’t drop the asteroid challenge, craft mini torches, and participate in a torch relay.
• Schedule: Weekly themed sessions for 2026 such as Detectives on the Case, Messy Science Madness, Lights, camera ... Summer!, Celebration Spectacular, Wild Animal Adventures, Pride of Pittsburgh, Galactic Adventures, and Olympic Spirit.
• Price: Financial assistance is available for camp.
