The Arts Center - Youth Art Programs offers activities that include Drawing & Painting, Fiber Arts, Pottery, Youth Art Classes, Music, Jewelry, Summer Art Camp, Special Event Art Workshops, and the Sticks & Strings Knitting and Crochet Class. Project options at the Arts Center include drawing, painting, clay hand-building, pottery wheel experiences, and other creative mediums.

The Arts Center has offered a variety of classes and workshops since 2005. Arts Center classes are taught by experienced artists and art educators who believe in the YMCA’s core values of Spirit, Mind and Body. The Arts Center’s leadership includes Founder and Director Emeritus Mary Jo Cicero and Arts Center Director Emily Anmuth. The Greater Susquehanna Valley YMCA states that its mission is to assist everyone in its service area in building a healthy spirit, mind and body, with program goals that include promoting good health, building strong families, raising confident kids, being a force for good in communities, and striving to build a better world. The YMCA also states that it responds to pressing social needs with community-based solutions and works to unite individuals from all walks of life in service and positive social change.
