Triangle Academy of Jiu-Jitsu

Triangle Academy of Jiu-Jitsu offers Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Kickboxing Program classes. Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu includes Ninjas for ages 5-8, Juniors for ages 9-12, and an Advanced Kids Program. The Kickboxing Program includes Kids Fundamentals, and the Monday kickboxing class focuses primarily on Western Boxing while Friday classes focus on the Muay Thai aspect.

About the provider

Triangle Academy of Jiu-Jitsu opened on October 1, 2018. The leadership team includes Founder and Head Coach Clay Mayfield; Adult Coach and Varsity Director Blake Brown; Adult Coach Zach Heath; Adult Coach and Senior Kids Coach Justin Claphan; Head Kids Coach Foster Ehrie; Kids Coaches Rishi Martinez, Owen Sanford, and Alexandrea Johnson; and Coach Perry Heimermann, who leads the Striking Program. The academy says its classes serve students of all ages and skill levels and that its team represents Pedigo Submission Fighting.

No experience required for BJJ fundamentals. No experience or athleticism requirements to join. Triangle Academy says there are no mat fees for cross-training visitors. White, blue, or black gi only; no shirt/rash guard under gi; no profanity on NoGi apparel; mouthguards required for live training. Safety and controlled training are emphasized.
