WCPR Children's Theatre Programs offers theatrical activities that include theatre productions, entertainment events, and performance lessons. The program also offers acting lessons, voice lessons, somatic movement consultations, and somatic movement workshops. WCPR Children's Theatre includes specific programs such as Little Stars, The STAR Program, Rising Stars, The Star Bright Players, Straight to the Stars Youth Theatre, and STARbound.

WCPR Children's Theatre is part of Williamson County Parks and Recreation, which is described as an award-winning department that manages more than 30 properties, including specialty facilities such as the Williamson County Enrichment Center, the Williamson County Performing Arts Center, two indoor athletic arenas, and the Williamson County AgEXPO Park. WCPR Children's Theatre is scheduled to have its 100th production with the Rising Stars production of Disney's Peter Pan Jr. in the winter of 2026.
The leadership team includes Gordon Hampton, Director of Williamson County Parks and Recreation; Deidra Alexander, Assistant Coordinator for WCPR Children's Theatre; and Jada Cato, Co-Artistic Director of Birmingham Black Repertory Theatre Collective. Staff credentials include: Deidra Alexander, a Franklin native with a Bachelor’s in Theatre with concentrations in Musical Theatre and Performing Arts Administration from Western Kentucky University (graduated Spring 2020); Sarah Bare, who holds a BA in Theater from California Baptist University; Jolie Brandstein, who holds a BFA degree in Acting from The University of Oklahoma (graduated May 2023); Heidi Buyck, who has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance with a Minor in Dance from North Central College; and Jada Cato, who has a BA in Theatre from Birmingham-Southern College, is vocally trained in opera/classical, pop/rock, jazz, and musical theatre, and is described as a GLAAD Rising Star. Birmingham Black Repertory Theatre Collective, where Jada Cato serves as Co-Artistic Director, is described as a grassroots organization with a focus on youth-centered production, collaboration, devising, and racial, disability, and gender justice.
