• Ages: 5–18 years old
Serving up fun and education since 2013, CookLearnGrow Culinary Academy is a professional mobile educational program focused on fun, hands-on skill-based programming and related services. Its mission is to create food literacy for all ages, from kids to adults, through hands-on education. The program teaches life skills, problem solving, and self confidence, and it reinforces core academics while giving students the opportunity to excel in both the classroom and life. The program offers fun and interactive culinary events for families and corporate groups, including conferences, expos, celebrations, team-building events, and client appreciation, with experiences such as cooking workshops, themed culinary nights, and hands-on food activities that are described as creating lasting memories. The program was founded by Lori Hinze, Founder of CookLearnGrow.
Parents describe their children as loving the cooking classes and cooking camp, talking about them at home, and being eager to share what they learned and made. One parent reports a child enjoying foods prepared in class that she usually does not like, and another notes a child coming home excited to explore cookbooks and taste new foods. Multiple parents state they are glad they enrolled their children in the cooking classes and that the program adds a lot to their children’s experiences.
