West Austin Dance Academy

West Austin Dance Academy offers classes in ballet, pointe, tap, hip hop, lyrical/contemporary, tumbling/acrobatics, leaps and turns, musical theater, and drill team prep. The program also includes options for competitive teams and elite pre-professional training.

West Austin Dance Academy is led by studio owner Amy Reynolds, a fourth-generation studio owner with a lifetime of dance experience. Amy danced professionally for over 15 years, judged top national competitions, and directed elite teams. The studio has an award winning competition team. According to the studio’s mission statement, the program focuses on dancers of all ages and levels and is built on the values of teamwork, family, and confidence. The studio reports that dancers from West Austin Dance Academy have gone on to become drill team captains, perform with major artists, appear in national commercials, compete at award shows, join prestigious college dance programs, and sign with leading agencies in Los Angeles and New York City. One parent shared that the studio has worked well both for a two-year-old in a Saturday class and for a twelve-year-old dancing at a highly competitive level.
