About
Inspired Minds Art Center offers hands-on art and theatre classes, walk-in creative experiences like drop-in & create and walk-in pottery painting, and kids craft days. Families can attend live theatre, community theatre, musical theatre, improv, live music, and film events, as well as art nights, art meet-ups, art openings, gallery exhibitions, festivals, and free community events. The center also hosts a weekly stitching, hand sewing, and fiber arts group, paint & sip nights such as “paint your own Succulent Planter,” the Buda Summer Musical: Wizard of Oz, free paint & sip at Persimmon Homes, and free community yoga.

Inspired Minds Art Center was founded in 2019 by Inspired Minds, LLC, created by Sinéad Whiteside and Susan Guerra as a proudly local, woman-owned arts space. Its mission is to support both local artists and the community by joining the two together to inspire a dialogue of creativity, passion, fine art, and a celebration of culture. People of all ages and abilities can take multi-media art classes taught by local artists, and artists can access resources, workspace, and business support. The center includes The Chambers Theatre, an intimate, historic theatre space, a gallery with rotating exhibits featuring local artists, a gift shop with handmade gifts, art studios, and the Amster Maker Studio, and it offers parties and event rentals plus a virtual tour.
Inspired Minds Art Center has partnered with Tandem Arts Partnership to provide the diverse community with greater access to the arts through targeted programs, community outreach, and financial assistance, and it creatively serves Buda, Kyle, San Marcos, Dripping Springs, Wimberley, New Braunfels, South Austin, Hays County, and surrounding areas. Co-founder Susan Guerra has a Mechanical Engineering Degree from UT Austin and a teaching certificate in Special Education, and co-founder Sinéad Whiteside has a Bachelor of Arts from UT Austin and a Masters of Education from Texas State University. The center has been voted Best Texas Downtown Business, Best Gallery, Best Family Fun, Best Date Spot, and Friendliest Staff.
