Youth & Teen Camps at YMCA of Central Texas offers activities such as rock climbing, archery, swimming, basketball, soccer, gymnastics, eSports, and outdoor adventures. Campers also take part in creative arts, arts & crafts, STEAM, cake decorating, cooking, games, crafts, team-building, sports, and programs like Kreative Kids. Campers are asked to bring a nut-free lunch and a water bottle, and a snack is provided.

• Schedule: Options include full-day camp hours from 7am–6pm and half-day camp hours such as 9am–12pm and 9am–1pm, with sessions offered during Spring Break and summer, plus weeklong and two-night overnight camps

The YMCA of Central Texas began its history in the 1970s, with a United Way “Youth Contingency Fund” created in 1976 and program expansion milestones in the 1980s and 1990s, including the first school-based after-school program in 1989 and the opening of the Hill Country Family YMCA in 1997. The mission of the YMCA of Central Texas is “To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.” The YMCA of Central Texas’ Licensed Child Care Department is described as the largest provider of child care in Williamson County, and it partners with school districts and community businesses. YMCA camps state a focus on personal growth, adventure, and fun, emphasize accomplishment, belonging, and character with core values of Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility, and state a commitment to a diverse and inclusive environment where all are welcome and have access to programs and services. The YMCA of Central Texas provides financial aid for memberships to make programs and services accessible regardless of affordability, and the Y conducts regular sex offender screenings on all members, participants, and guests.
